Greetings List Members: I have inquired with OFA regarding litters profiles and this is the response I received from my questions.
1. What age would give the best DX profile on a puppy? 4-6 months 2. Is there a chance of trauma from the positioning to those developing joints? No 3. What is the sensitivity and specificity/predictor value of performing earlier litter profiles? Sensitivity and specificity has not been determined for the CKCS but for Goldens, Labs, German Shepherds and Rottweilers it is approximately 80% and 97% respectfully. There is no reason to assume that your breed will have singificantly different numbers. 4. What is the cost of a litter series? A litter of 3 or more submitted together $75.00 Food for Thought...
