Hi Rene, If you click onto http://www.behjei.com/tearsta.htm/ , I believe the Maltese Breeder who wrote this article goes into detail about using Tylan to prevent further staining once you've done your bleaching (using great care to keep bleaching solution out of the eyes, and always using a drop of eye protectant of mineral oil in the eyes for as a precaution). In case she doesn't say how to administer the Tylan powder, you can give 1/16 to 1/8 tsp directly applied (with your moistened fingertip to the back of the tongue daily. This prevents the red yeast that is the underlying cause of tearstaining. I hope this helps.
