Eddie died at 12, we had to have him put to sleep as he was in a lot of pain
due to spondilitis and unfortunately at that time I wasn't aware ( and nor
were the Vets) of suitable therapies that could have kept him pain free.

It was interesting as even all those years ago my Vet never failed to
comment on his heart, he always said that he had never heard such a good
heart on a Cavalier. I can also tell you that I know that three of his last
litter ( the ones I know about) born ,just before he died are all still
doing well at the age of 10 plus with no sign of slowing down and I believe
are still heart clear.

Yes and unfortunately I also had the privilege of sitting and caring for
Beans in the last hours of his life. Another truly special dog just like
his Dad, Eddie.

I am so delighted that I have Eddie's grandson and namesake Freddie at home.
He reminds me so much of him and is and has sired some lovely puppies. We
of course all know that having a tricolour dog that sires nice puppies is
worth his weight in gold.

Jeanie, I think you have put up and admired his daughter.
