I went through the *panic* several years ago, spoke with a few repo vets, was told by all of them that: Microplasma can be transferred though causal contact..i.e. licking, sniffing...etc All animals have *some* microplasma. If a dog is healthy it can and usually does, easily, *throw off* an extreme number of microplasma . The test for microplasma is precise. For a male the semen must be taken cleanly..no touching the sheath etc. A deep swab must be used for the bitch..no contamination of the vulva etc. At the time, Cornell did the *best* test.
