I also have the misfortune of having added a poop eater to my family. For those of you who do not have breeds other than Cavaliers, this poop eater is an Australian Shepherd. She is my first poop eater. I find it disgusting so have read up on it and it seems not to be connected to nutrition-just a habit. When I took care of my sister's four Whippets-they all ate poop-fresh as it came out! I find they do not eat their own, not surprising. The only thing that I have heard that could help would be a product containing an enzyme that will break down the protein in the feces-pineapple (papain) etc.
