Hi Alida, sorry I'm not too good on actual amounts but I try and remember to give my guys 1000mg fish oil tab each day. Omega 6 can be found in chicken and olive oil, and from my memory is more readily available in food than omega 3.

I have it in gelcaps (which I originally bought for myself but didn't take more than once or twice!). But I'm wondering whether anyone knows what the recommended *amounts,* for the Omega 3 and Omega 6 essential fatty acids, might be for dogs. That was why I was originally looking at DermCaps and Lipiderm, since those are already formulated for dogs - but comparing milligrams with percentages is like apples and oranges. (So I'd still be interested to know whether anyone has had experiences enabling them to compare the benefits of DermCaps and/or Lipiderm.) Also, I see fish-oil contains Omega 3 (EFAs); do listers also recommend Omega 6? (I think Omega 6 EFAs are in Evening Primrose Oil, for instance). And - is there any knowledge out there with regard to recommended amounts daily, or, are there maximums not to be exceeded (as a general guide)?
