How well I know this *now*! No justification of my actions as I am
responsible for all that happened with my girl, BUT I do hope that by
sharing my story and the stress *I* put my sweet girl through will help
others to see that they do need to listen to their dogs rather than fall
prey to the guilt and or blame imposed by others for not doing what those
others think is right. In my case, it was the imposed (which I acknowledge
I was receptive to!) guilt from my vet. That guilt, unfortunately motivated
me to do harm to my girl. As Peggy said, she was the one getting stuck, not
me.
