"If there are no dogs in heaven, then I want to go where they go."
Well said Barb. Actually the author is unknown. Pity. Years ago when my mother's beloved dog passed, she had a very difficult time getting past it. She too worried that her dog having no mortal soul was not in heaven & she prayed for weeks on end about it for some type of sign that would let her know her Molly was in fact in heaven. One afternoon she answered a her phone...a wrong number as it turned out...a gentleman who was a minister. In there brief conversation as strangers, my mother explained to him her concern & her grief. This wonderful minister whoes religion I do not know explained to my mother that God created all living things & therefore watches & cares over all as well here & in the hereafter. Also pointed out to her that heaven is paradise & what would paradise be without your dogs? Therefore dogs must be in heaven. Straight from a man of the cloth. As I try (but don't always succeed) to do right...a bible thumper I am not...but when I go...I have no dought there will be a lot of my dogs there to greet me. All the best.
