As mean spirited as some individuals can get at dog shows, I still love to go and see
beautiful dogs of all breeds and be with people who share a common love.

A few years ago when my Aussie special was at the top of his game-nearly unbeatable,
an up and coming pro handler, and I thought good friend (she is good at what she does)
started playing some dirty games in the ring. She had some new client dogs and she
must have made some big promises. She caught me off guard the first day, (we still
won) but I caught on quickly. I fought back, won every show and we have not spoken
since. I think this is really sad. We had known each other for years, she had helped
me getting started. I never gossip about her but I no longer send business her way.
She has lost a number of clients due to this. When people tell me they are considering
her and what do I think I just say hmmmmm....

I think it pays to be careful what you say and do to whom cause it may come back and
haunt you!

The song from the Ken-L Ration commercial often comes to mind when disscussing dog
shows-remember the one-"My dog's better than your dog..."
