Hi there, I joined the list a few days ago and have been skimming through some of your posts. I don't currently own any dogs, but I have always been interested in owning a Golden Retriever and someday I will own one. However, I'm thinking that right now I will likely be living in an apartment for a few years, therefore, it would be much more appropriate to have a smaller dog. I really like dogs that are affectionate and really crave human attention, and that sounds a lot like Cavalier King Charles Spaniels from what I read about them.
Although I'm not particularly interested in showing dogs, I would like to eventually either purchase one from a reputable breeder or acquire a rescue dog. What I would like to learn from people on this list is what is it about this breed that makes it one of your favorites, and what kinds of things does this breed need from their masters? Also, does this dog get along well with other dogs and pets? I look forward to learning from you.
