The problem with standing and free-baiting a cavalier is that many of them tend to crouch a little in the back, making them look cow-hocked. I'm not saying what one should or shouldn't do, just making an observation that a dog would be less likely to crouch in the rear if the handler were closer to eye level. Leanne
