Hi Pam....WOW.
What a beautiful pedigree. The very first CKCSC show I went to was in
California about 1 1/2 years ago. There I saw Nellie and Promises to Keep.
I saw Nellie win Best in Show under Kevin Berry of Ricksbury (and Andreas was
Reserve Best in Show). She is a perfect example of dog with ring presence.
I never saw another dog since her who did not stop wagging her tail. I also
saw how she stacked herself although she and Phyliss had a wonderful rapport
and it was obvious they were in tune with one another. In the ring you could
see Nellie wanted some bait and Phyliss would look at her and say something
and Nellie adjusted her feet before she got her treat. It was impressive. I
also saw a very well respected AKC Judge at the CKCSC show but forgive me I
can't remember her name, (Charlotte or Charlene ?) when she had her class
winners come in for the challenge pulled both Andreas and Promises to Keep
and had them go up and back a few times. She did give the win to Andreas but
was as taken with Promises as I was. He is a very flashy dog. Phyliss had
him on her lap much of the time and then handed him over to some children who
wanted to take him for a walk. He was very enthusiastic. I hope your
puppies turn out half as well as some of their wonderful ancestors.
Michael.
