Winning is not the most important thing to me. I go to have fun with my dog I go to socialize with friends who show I go to personally get a look at what others consider their better dogs to see how mine measure up I go to see other dogs that I may hope to one day get permission to breed with I go to learn I go to help socialize and train my dogs I go to have fun oh yes... its nice if I win but no big deal if I don't and I don't more then I do I am not driven by the need for others to pour accolades my way or collect wins or get a national ranking, or collect trophies. In fact I would NEVER send a dog of mine out on the road with a handler campaigning for a win. I think more of my dogs then that. You will NEVER see a pro handler with one of my dogs. Ever. I accept the best dog doesn't always win I applaud when it does and many times that means as a loser on the side lines. And the best dog wins as often as the best dog doesn't win probably if someone were to have some way of knowing and tracking it. Its just that 50% accuracy to me should be unacceptable. I speak out about the political BS, the trimming, the stacking, the coloring, and yes the kneeling because frankly I don't care if it is politically correct or not. I have no use for politics, they cloud the truth. Showing is supposed to be about the dogs. Go to some shows in Europe where pro handlers are not present. BIG difference ! I have never looked at showing in the AKC the same since I returned from Scotland and England. And I have to say I have tremendous admiration for the breeders over there for being able to preserve the breed and the style of showing the way they have. I wish we could find a way to be as successful in preserving things here. It is unlikely we will. We're americans, its all about flash and cash.
