Hi list, I came home to over 100 unread messages in my inbox, most of which I will not read. I have been gone attending to my Dad's affairs who died last week suddenly and unexpectedly as a result of outpatient surgery. I apologize to those of you who have emailed me and have not gotten a response.
I am writing this to remind everyone to take a minute to remember the real reason we have these wonderful canine companions. I got my Cavalier two weeks after loosing my Mom and he was able to accompany me out of town while I began the process of dealing with the death of my Dad. With all the talk of perfect show dogs, bad judges etc. don't loose sight of the "real" value of our dogs. They have so much more to give than just another purple ribbon. Just a reality check.
