We had a dickens of a time finding an airline that allowed dogs/puppies in
cabin on our scheduled flight overseas a few days after Sept 11. So we flew
over picked out the puppy and a few weeks later the breeder brought her over
in cabin and stayed a few weeks with us to practice her English and see the
Wild West. (I also recommend this hospitality as not only did she get what
she wanted but we learned a heck of a lot about how to raise a Cavalier.)
Next month we are going over again to get another bitch from Holland and are
using KLM, the same as Northwest, the airline my first bitch came in on. She
had no problems at all and was allowed to stay on laps the whole trip. She
had a Sherpa but Cozij cuddled up in her breeder's black leather jacket and
stayed there except when others volunteered to hold her and love on her. Our
breeder came out of the security gate with her jacket zipped down halfway and
a precious tri face peeking out. Photo op. It cost $110 for the puppy's
flight from Amsterdam to Colorado Springs. I hope when my husband goes back
over next month it will be just as simple.
