Hi - When one of my dogs did Pet Therapy in a Children's Cancer Hospital, I used to wash him in whitening shampoo with about 2 tbs. of Benzyl Benzoate (used in the UK for lice - another funny story) and added a tablespoon of tea tree oil to the mix to counteract the dryness of the shampoo and BB. I also think it conditioned his skin and coat so he didn't shed or have flaky skin for our visits. FWIW.
