Hi,

For tri-colors, I am only a pet owner but I thought that freckles were more
like spots or patches on the muzzle area usually and ticking was the longer
black hairs interspersed in the white body of the tri-colors - I know our
breeder said that our tri-boy had a lot of ticking and that probably he
wouldn't be show material - he wasn't going to be anyway. They almost look
like thin and long clumps of black within the white.
