Dear Chere, You would have to know if the ruby was a dominant whole color or if he is carrying parti. If he is a dominant whole color the litter would be all rubies. Some could have white on them, but it is not determined by how your girl is marked or not. Right now I have a litter, blenheim mother and B&T father. I knew I could only have whole colors with this breeding. I have 2 B&T'S, 1 girl & 1 boy, 3 rubies, 2 girls, 1 boy. All of them have white on them, all of which I believe will either go away or cover up. White on the head of rubies that looks like a little blaze always goes away, chests usually cover up (the white seems not to grow, but stays the same size as the dogs' size increases) white on the toes takes longer but usually disappears. White chests on B&T's sometimes stay, and underneath on the chin is hard to get rid of. Last year I bred a blenheim girl with a ruby boy and the two Ruby girls are beautiful, one of them will be in the ring at Williamsburg. This has been my experience, I do line breed. But all of that said, I have seen pictures of adult Rubies with lots of white on them. So yes, it would be a gamble. I would try to find someone with a dominant Ruby male that has strong color and pigment, that has been bred with a parti already and has produced nice puppies and give it a shot. The worst that could happen is you would have some lovely pets. And I always say "somebody has to make pets".
