> I am getting ready to have a web page done. I would like to have URL's from some of you that have web sites. I would like to have them to give to the person who is designing my page as a sample of what I want. So if anyone out there who has a web page would you please send me your URL
For me, I found the Yahoo webring invaluable as a source of *research* when I decided to do a website. There are 200-300 Cavalier sites to check out. Over a few months I literally visited every one and got a feel for what I liked and didn't like; the type of navigation I thought the majority of visitors would prefer (and be able to do!), whether or not I thought a dark or light background showed off the pictures best, if I wanted a border or not, etc. You can visit each one and if there is anything you like about it, write the URL down and what you liked about that site. Once you have it all figured out you can tell the website designer how you want your site done and give him/her the URLs to show examples. The webring URL is: http://x.webring.com/hub?ring=cavalier&list Note: Once I designed mine, I was amazed at how many people were not able to view my site properly because they weren't able to *see* hover buttons, or only had to ability to view at 640 and various other problems. So I kept mine to either 640 wide, or something that would easily re-wrap without interfering with the content and looks. Plus I left out hover buttons and extras. You can keep the hover buttons and put links to the other pages down below for those who can't view hover buttons--but I decided to just leave the hover buttons out for now.
