I usually leave it until then because if a puppy is going as a pet, most pet owners don't want to feed tripe so it would only mean changing their diet. By 8 weeks I am feeding puppies 4 meals per day but only 1 of them consists of tripe. With the tripe I give a natural wholegrain mixer and add a Tspoon of steralised bone meal. The other 3 meals consist of: 1. a complete puppy kibble mixed with cooked chicken, 2. cooked chicken on its own and 3. tinned puppy meat mixed with the natural wholegrain mixer. I wouldn't give young puppies an exclusively tripe diet although my adults all have green tripe and natural wholegrain mixer as their main feed of the day. The older dogs have a few drops of Vitamin E added to their feed.
