In most cases the only requirement is to have two existing club members as sponsors and for the proposed member to sign to say they will abide by the Rules of the Club and the Code of Ethics.
In most cases the Code of Ethics appears on the reverse of the membership application form. Sometimes it might be the case that a Club will only allow those that have been members for a period of time (say 12 months) to sponsor another. Also the sponsors must not be from the same family. Each application would go before the Committee of that Club and at that point if the Committee were unhappy they would carry out further research before allowing the new person to join. This might involve inviting the applicant to one of their events to get to meet them, or telephoning them to discuss why they were interested in joining. In most cases new members are proposed by people who have sold them puppies and we rely on the existing member's recommendation. -- Steve Mynott Honeybet Consultants and Honeybet Cavaliers Affordable Web Site Design Cambridge UK Cavaliers at http://www.honeybet.co.uk Web design at http://www.honeybet.com E mail : [EMAIL PROTECTED] ========================================================= "Magic Commands": to stop receiving mail for awhile, click here and send the email: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20NOMAIL to start it up gain click here: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20MAIL E-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] for assistance.
