Potholes actually saved a puppy that was a stuck inverted breech( butt first and feet pointed toward the spine) we tried like all to get her out. Her little feet were starting to turn blue so we gathered up our lil Mum and pup with feet hanging out inot steril padds and raced to emergency vet and as we got off the 101 Californian Fwy onto Victoria Blvd we hit a monster pothole at the intersection and the car lurched-the mum stood up on my lap and turned to hold my shoulders and as she reached up out popped little inverted breech puppy. WE pulled into t he Emergency vet Hospital parking lot and they were at the car opening the door with two vettechs to take puppy and give her oxygen after cutting her cord and freeing her from the Mum. She is now two years old and carries the experience in her name. We named her Victory Lap.
