Well the vendors at Crufts carry a whole lot of stuff we use here at shows that we shouldn't per AKC rules of nothing foreign in the coat. In addition, I was surprised to see quite a few Cavaliers that had been trimmed. Thinning shear marks can be pretty obvious unless you are really talented and have a really good pair. To be fair I saw much more trimming in the dog ring and not much at all in the bitch ring.
