I think this applies generally to all dogs. I know if mine are not both down by 8 weeks, I worry. In Cavaliers they can be slower and more of them will come down after 8 weeks than in many breeds, but still if they are not down by 8 weeks, it is something to be concerned about because many of them will not come down later. But of course many will.
