I phrased it badly Marilyn - I didn't mean you personally VBG
I am sure that the governing body (AKC) like our KC is always thinking up
new rules and regulations if only to keep us mere mortals on our toes.
These rules and regs govern how a society or show is run etc etc.
Unfortunately although I said I would type the article out that I read last
week - haven't searched for it I realised just now that it was in the paper
that a couple of puppies decided to shred into confetti.
Anyway the gist of the article was that as our KC has quite strict criteria
about the experience that overseas judges have to judge at championship show
level that either the retiring Chairman or the Chairman elect of AKC was all
for the same criteria being applied to UK judges.
There was more to the article but I don't wish to misquote it.
Realistically I don't think that it would affect many UK judges anyway
because regrettably we don't have the number of all rounders that there used
to be and I can't see many shows hiring a judge just to judge one or two
breeds
