I've had a problem with some of my younger Cavaliers routinely eating "selected" fresh stools for a few years. I was (and may still) thinking it was hereditary, as all the offspring are from a particular bitch who is herself a stool-eater, as was her mother.
About 3 weeks ago, I started adding "Prozyme" to their food every other day...a "pinch" rather than the 1/4 tsp. the label suggests... and about a week ago, I started finding lots of 'last-of-the-day' and 'middle-of-the day' poops to scoop. So I've started thinking perhaps I'm giving them something that finally works. I know it's relatively early on in this 'test' but trust me, when you have 7 dogs and you go out on 'patrol' to clean up the yard and there is absolutely NOTHING to pick up, and now there is 'lots' to pick up, you're thinking maybe...just maybe this stuff is working!
