Hi Beth, I don't use the Foster & Smith Glucosamine products. That said, I do have a 6 year old boy on Glucosamine & Chondroitin supplements as recommended by my vet as follow up maintainance to the patella surgery he had at 2 yrs of age. The supplement from the vet which was basically 500mg Glucosamine/400 mg Chondroitin would have been $90 from the vet!!! My vet recommended that I go to the health food store and buy the human equivalent 500/400 strength. That's what "Polo" has been on ever since my vet made this recommendation. I pay just $9.99 for 90 capsules at Trader Joe's Market. I just pop one down his throat each morning before giving him his two sections of Canidae snap biscuits.
