Now this is one I can answer. Haven't pondered these issues myself, I've settled on a solution. I stay with organics. In fact, in my landscaping business I use two basic products. Corn gluten as a pre-emergent as well as fertilizer and Bradfield's lawn and fee as a fertilizer. These products are heavy, however, so it would be cheapest to seek them out locally.
