It sounds like a very high class puppy mill. Who checks to see if the pups
conform to the breed standard? >>

Pat, That does not seem to be one of their concerns. If they are
"registered,"
and especially if they are a hot breed or unusual color, that is what matters
most. I live near the Hunte Corp and have been to one of their Open Houses
and tours. There have been some dogs I have had a hard time being sure what
breed they are. The place IS very clean, sterilized, etc. with a vet there.
However, the puppies are only there about five days, from "puppy buying day"
to when they are shipped out, 200 to a truck. Hunte is a huge broker (not
breeder) -- the real concern is with the millers where the puppies spend
their
first eight weeks with no health testing, little touching or socialization,
cheap
food, minimal care, and bitches bred every season till they drop. Those are
where the puppies come from to the Hunte Corp for their short stay there.
