We have several clubs here in this area, one club that I personally belong to, that have their shows in Hugh Expo centers. I am sure that we could have the Thursday slot in one of these clusters. There are many hotels near by to accommodate exhibitors. It would mean changing our National specialty date and contributing to the fee for the Expo center which is quite costly and I am not sure what our budget could support. We also could probably have our national specialty with Bucks or Trenton which would mean working from under a tent. We did this one year, I believe 1999, and everyone was not happy. The weather was overcast and very damp and cold. So, as you can see it is a trade off. I am sure the board is addressing all the concerns and I know the board asked all the show committee chairman to write down there critques with there pros and cons along with solutions. There are always going to be things that could be changed or things overlooked but then there is always room for imporvement in everything we endeavor to do. The key is to profit buy these problems so they can be changed for the following year/years. All in all I do believe that this National went very well. People seemed to be happy and cordial. I was very impressed with the illustrated standard. The judges education went well and I heard from many of the exhibitors that they would like to have breeder's education, as well. The key is to do better and better each year which I what we all are striving to do.
