Well, Hallelulia, Susan! This is EXACTLY what the very best "handlers" do! And You don't see the person at the end of the lead...you focus on the dog! Andy Linton and his Dobermans are another team that springs to my mind! Jean's former partner, Garrett Lambert is also one who took a back seat to his exhibits and one's 'eye' was caught up in looking at the dog. Somewhere in the watching of it all, as we hold our collective breath, we remember to look at the other end of the lead..very briefly...to make a mental note of one who has such a gift of presentation! I'll also add that a handler who has to kneel to present a Cavalier is no 'handler' at all...we all remember who they are LONG before we think of the dog they show...and sometimes we cannot for the life of us remember the dog at all.
