I loved the idea of the prize basket for "cleaning up." And I agree -- I
HATE the people that never clean up after their dogs -- no matter where they
are. It gives dog owners such a bad reputation.
I just wish that the same would also extend to owners of male dogs who
let them raise their leg and pee where ever they want. This past fall I was
at a Cav-O-Ween Party (organized by one of our list members) that was held
inside. I was appalled at the number of male Cavaliers that kept peeing on
one of the supporting posts -- and the owners made NO effort to even clean up
after their dogs...much less stop them. Rachel has suggested that she and I
"invest" in some belly bands for this year's party and make them mandatory
costume parts for all males (dog, not human) that attend...can't think of any
other way to deal with the marking problem.
