Hi Jean, I went back and looked at my records on one litter of pups that I had that were fast growing pups (Mom had very rich milk) and your pups are well within their weight gain range. My guys at 16days were 2lbs, 4oz (40 oz). I remember thinking that the boy in the litter was huge at the time as well...his sister was only a tiny bit smaller than he.
Both of these pups growth slowed way down once they were weaned and both dogs now are on the smaller side as adults. The bitch in the litter is a tiny little girl now, weighing only about 12 pounds. Some moms just seem to have very rich milk and with a small litter the babies just grow fast.
