We all have to careful and check and recheck our dogs when a heart murmur is detected.
I had a 9 month old boy diagnosed with a 1 heart murmur. Had a color doppler done,
yep blood was leaking from a valve. Well, I had dog neutered. Now he is over 6 years
old and has just been heart cleared by a cardiologist. What did I learn, to never
overreact from a diagnosis. It's always better to wait and recheck. Dogs can be
diagnosed with "murmurs" when they don't have one. My dog is proof. Now a nice dog
with good heart/eye genes is lost from the gene pool.
