Just got home. The hearing was set for 1PM and by 1:30 we were told that Mr
Garritson requested it be postponed till tomorrow at 1PM. He attorney was
not available today. The official at the Shelter told me I could attend the
hearing tomorrow. I did get to talk with all the news media and answer
their questions about the dogs. The shelter allowed the news people to go in
to see some of the dogs, I was not allowed in. One of the media took me to
their van and showed me all the footage that had taken of the dogs. The ones
they were allowed to see where clean, happy and in comfortable beds. From
the video I saw there were more ET'S than Cavaliers.
Two bitches were taken yesterday to local vets, one whelped a litter of
seven with two still born. The remaining five pups were doing well. I was
told later it was an ET that whelped.
They were not able to give the number of each breed, so we still don't
know. I will be there tomorrow and let you know if anything happens then. I
did hear from Mr Carlson, shelter director, that the DA is also looking into
other charges, but he gave no details.
Mr Carlson made it a point to tell all the media the dogs are not up for
adoption and will not be until there is a legal decision made, which could
be a couple of months. They are treating the dogs for medical problems and
said they had sent some blood work out for diagnosis.
