Sarah:

I have not used Propolis Extract so I do not have personal experience to
give you but here is some information summarized from my books. Like
pollen, it is amazingly full of vitamins, etc.

"Propolis is a sticky, resin-like material consisting of 50-55% resin and
balsam, 30% wax, and 10% pollen. Propolis is collected by bees from the leaf
buds on the bark of some common trees (Poplaes, Chestnuts..). Bees use their
own enzymes to convert it into pollen. They utilize this sticky material as
a protection against microorganisms, and to patch holes or cracks in their
beehives."

"Propolis Extract contains 22 animo-acids, Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Vitamin E,
Vitamin C and bioflavanoids, as well as the complete B complex vitamins,
especially Pantothenic acid and Niacin which are necessary to support human
life. When taken regularly, it actually creates an amazing natural
antibiotic. It simultaneously stimulate the thymus gland and, thus enhances
the body's immune system.

Propolis actually acts as a natural antibiotic.
Gives atheletes more energy and staying power.
Helps in fighting flu, colds, coughs, and toncilitis.
Can be used externally to heal bruises and blemishes."

Check your bottle to see what content, strength and proper usage is for what
you have. This is from a picture of a bottle in one of my books.

"One full dropper (1 ml.) daily. may be mixed with water, tea, juice or
other suitable liquid to efficiently deliver the extract. One ml. (one full
dropper) countains 650 mg of Propolis Extract."

I cannot find a reference, yet, for dog usage. I cannot imagine that it
could be harmful, but like I said, for dogs, I cannot find a reference for
usage. There, I said the word dog twice, that should qualify this message
for the list?

:-)

Cheers,
