I remember this woman...I knew what she was doing and I could not for the
life of me understand her 'technique' that was the antitheses of correct
flex-and-extend technique for patella exams.  I personally think that unless
one suspects patellar weakness after observing the dog on the move, one need
not waste time by 'verfying' it on the exam table in the ring.

Jeanie Montford advises correctly when she tells all exhibitors to observe
the judge's manner with the dogs and proceed accordingly.  There are no
rules that prevent an exhibitor from asking a judge, "May I please show you
the bite?"
