Candy - you can have all those things with the breeder of your dog even if
it is not co owned -

But can I put  the other side of the coin here - even though the breeder may
be always available for information and support and may have given good
advice as to the training, raising, showing and breeding of the dog they
have sold, sometimes the buyer totally ignores this advice!   They enter the
dog unwisely and sometimes breed it to a totally unsuitable dog or
bloodline - sometimes they only tell you they have mated a bitch when they
ring to let you know she has had puppies and then ask you to assess the
litter.  they don't seem to want to avail themselves of the knowledge that
has taken the breeder a long time to accumulate and which will greatly
accelerate their "learning curve".
So it works both ways.
