The Golden Trumpet your are referring to is probably commonly know as an
"Angel's Trumpet". It comes in yellow, apricot & white. The species is Datura
is is very poisionous. There are several different varieties. I have one that
grows into a tree in our semi-tropical climate. I have another one that is
white, edged in purple that only grows about 2-3 feet tall. All parts are
poisionous but my dogs have never bothered the tree in my yard. Most
poisionous plants taste very bitter & you would have to ingest a large amount
for harm. There are probably more houseplants that are poisionous to your
pets than outdoor varieties.

Plants</A>

This is a great site & I refer to it often as I have a hummingbird garden
with many, many year round blooming plants.
