A couple of weeks ago I attended a First Aid class for dogs, sponsored by
the American Red Cross and the Humane Society. We all had to do CPR on a
special dog that was like the manikin used for human CPR. They talked about
all different emergency's and what to do. We were all given a Pet First Aid
book to take home.
You might check your local American Red Cross or Humane Society and ask
about the class. I really enjoyed it. They are usually small classes so
everyone has time to be checked out on CPR and have your individual
questions answered.
The book is: Pet First Aid and Cats and Dogs, by Bobbie Mammato, DVM
