Hi Laura and Suze,

With CKCSC, USA, when you register puppies, and the name can not be longer
than 25 letters, including your affix and no punctuation is allowed.
However, you can (for a fee <G>) add your affix to the end of a dog's name
that you purchased, which could then have the name containing more than 25
letters...and...imports are named exactly as they are listed on the export
pedigree, irregardless of how many letters the name may contain.

On the AKC application, there are only so many spaces that you are allowed
to fill in.....I have registered a dog with more letters in the name than
was allowed, with adding my affix to the end of the dog's name. The dog
was given that name (I was surprised, but figured I would at least try :))

I hope that this helps some :)
Kind regards,
Kim
