Greetings, everyone!

I'm thinking that I *need* (not to be confused with
merely wanting cuz it's a neat toy, lest anyone wonder)
to get a puppy play pen. You know, the raised floor pen,
not a panel ex-pen. I've seen a few in online catalogs,
and saw one at a garage sale yearssss ago (dang, wish
I'd known I needed one then!), but I'm kind of stumped
as to size, price, quality, etc.

The reality of it is that I'm probably only going to
need it for less than a week when the family makes its
summer migration to our mountain cabin - with week old
babies. So I don't need a top o'the line model with all
the bells and whistles; but I don't want it to fall
apart after a few days. (And I will undoubtedly
occasionally use it down the road, even though I already
have a wonderful corrugated whelping box that I store in
a box!) It's for a Cavalier, so a mere 16 pounds of mom
and hopefully 5 or 6 babies; so would people recommend a
36" x 24" or a 36" x 36"?? Is a top necessary? It's a
long way to the floor from those things if mom is
jumping out, so maybe a good idea?

The next question is: does anyone have a USED one they'd
like to find a good and loving home for? <g> I live in
Oregon, so transport/shipping might be an issue, but
then a good ol' box and some $$ would fix that. I sure
wouldn't mind borrowing one for awhile in August, or
buying a used one if I could find one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!

Sandra
