A few minutes ago, I was working at the computer,
and heard something crack behind me. It was Teddy,
and he had broken a computer CD. Before I could take
it away from him, he had swallowed a tiny piece --
about the size of half of my small fingernail,
lengthwise. I called the emergency vet. They offered
to xray Teddy, but they weren't sure if a piece of CD
disk would show up on the xray. They said to watch
for signs of abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea.
Is that all I can do? Aren't I supposed to be
giving him something to coat the piece so that it
doesn't puncture him somewhere inside? Any and all
advice you can give me tonight would be so
appreciated!
Thanks,
Robin McLeod
