Hi List....I have used empty tuna cans to teach a puppy to stack. I wash the cans (4 of them) and then place them on the grooming table or where ever I am training (top of a crate or whatever). I start by putting the puppy/dog's feet in the cans. They learn to keep them in there. If they take them out I just place them back and say "...no...stay". After they understand the concept of keeping their feet in a smaller area I turn the cans over so the puppy is now standing on 4 cans a couple of inches off the table and they learn to keep their feet there. If they fall off.....They are only an inch or two off the top of the table surface so they don't get hurt. I put them back on the can. When they stack there for a few seconds they get a treat/praise and so on until they are stacking freely. When I first start out they are just standing not stacking. Gradually they are stacking and don't even know it. I have been using this concept for about 18 years (Cockers and now Cavaliers) and it works for me. Nancy
