Another really helpful book is "Dog Showing For Beginners" by Lynn Hall
(Howell Book House). The purpose of this survivor's handbook is to help
newcomers get maximum enjoyment out of showing their dogs in the hope that
they won't join the notoriously high drop out rate of this sport/hobby. It
gives a VERY realistic overview of the sport and what you can expect ---
forewarned is forearmed. Despite the lackluster title, this book is a
winner! This book is available at http://www.barnesandnoble.com/

All the best,
Susan V.
