Debbie,
I recall from a Pat Hastings seminar when this occurs at a show to use the
end of a paper match and insert in the anus and pull gently out. I haven't
tried it, so I can't speak from experience. I would call my vet and ask;
there may be a human solution suggested at smaller doses depending on weight
like castoil? Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Subject: [CKCS-L] constipation in small puppy

Hi,

I have a friend with a very small cavalier puppy who was bottle fed with
mother's milk and artificial milk. He is now 5 1/2 weeks old and 20oz, and
having problems with constipation. Any suggestions?
Debbie
