Hi Barbara: Thanks, they're certainly keeping me hopping these days, but they're very good puppies.
I read about your singleton - I'm almost an expert on those - my last three litters have had single puppies. Between c-sections and singletons, I have lots of experience with things I don't want to be experienced with! What I did with the last two "only puppies" was make sure they had a couple of small stuffed toys in the whelping box with them - their litter mates just didn't move or eat! None of the singletons turned out to be swimmers, although they were all a good size. No competition for the nipples! Hope you little guy makes out fine. I know with mine, the moms seemed to be aware that they needed to spend more time with them than if there had been a couple of puppies. They were really good with them, and the puppy had the benefit of the older dogs to play with from a young age. Good luck with him! ----- Original Message ----- From: "B.
