I have a golden who chews and licks his paws. I use Nizoral Dandruff Shampoo
to wash his feet. It is antifungal and a treatment usually lasts about two
weeks before he starts again. I leave it on his feet for 5 - 10 minutes.
There are probably other types of dandruff shampoo that work but this has
worked the best for me. I have also used foot powders for athlete's foot
,which does help, but I worry about him licking it as well. I have not seen
him licking his paws after an applicaton but maybe it tastes bad so he
doesn't bother. I have only used the foot powder when it has been wet
outside and his paws havre remained damp for long periods of time.
