It was a great time at the Fun Match yesterday. Sue and Mary did a
wonderful job with organizing everything, and all the volunteers who
helped with registration, and the fantastic raffle table, and the guys who
cooked the lunch are to be commended.

But I want to REALLY thank all the wonderful owners of the rescue cavaliers
who brought their rescues and participated in the rescue parade. As a
special bonus, I had transported 3 Lucky Star rescues to the Fun Match to
meet their new fosters, and their fosters either led or carried them in the
parade as well. I think everyone in the rescue parade had a good time - I
had signs with the dog's name and state on it, and had the adopters give a
BRIEF statement as to how the got their rescue. The only negative thing
about it was it would have been more effective if we had a microphone or
something to project the voices. Lucie (fancypaw.com) sent me some paper
pads/pencils/bookmarks to give to the rescues, and each rescue got a
ribbon. There were 10 in the rescue parade - 3 who had intended to come
were not able to be there. I was quite proud of all who
paraticipated. Thank you so much! Rescues came from IL, IN, WI, MI, and
KY. Let's make next year's rescue parade even grander!
