Liz, We have just fenced in a new area for our dogs about +30' sq area and are looking to add some new stuff such as stones, sand or patio bricks that would afford easy clean-up. I am interetsed in what you finally choose and how you like the results. What do most people use as a ground cover in their dog run areas? If you use sand how will you prep the ground?
Of course, by this time we have no grass and with the rains and snows it will be a mud pit - fun for them but hell for us. One more question, we have to add a roof structure to ur deck to keep them dry during incelment weather. Has anyone used any portable structures for this purpose? We hope to wait until spring to build a permenant roof to tie into the house and eventually screen in for them. Many thanks!
